Shawn Cooligan

Captain Shawn Cooligan has been assisting firefighter candidates with interview preparation since 2003. With over 1000 firefighter mock interviews to date Shawn has proven his ability to instruct candidates in what it takes to reach their goals. Shawn also provides webinars and firefighter mock interview critiques in our video library offered to members. Shawn has also assisted at the Firefighter Career Expo in delivering the Mock Interview/ Critique session Co-author of the book Study Guide for the Firefighter Interview Provided firefighter mock interviews and critiques to both Seneca and Fleming students in the Pre-Service Firefighting Training and Education Program. Instructor in the Fleming Pre-Service Firefighter and Education Program since 2003.

Deanna

Deanna provides over the phone firefighter mock interviews and is also seen provides critiques in our video library offered to members. Deanna graduated from the Human Resources Management program at Sir Sandford Fleming College. She holds a CHRP designation and is a member of the Human Resources Professional Association. Over the past 15 years, Deanna has held various positions within the HR field including: Recruiter, HR Assistant, HR Specialist and as an HR Manager. Deanna has specialized primarily in recruitment and behavioural interviewing. Deanna understands the qualities a firefighter needs to possess, having been involved in the firefighter recruitment process. Deanna has a strong connection to the fire service in her personal life also, as she is married to a professional firefighter. With her strong interpersonal skills, Deanna finds gratification in the ability to help others succeed in their careers.

David Gillespie

David has worked with Peterborough Fire Services for 20 years as firefighter, rescue technician, chief training officer, instructor and currently Acting Captain. He has assisted with recruitments and interviewed over 300 candidates. David teaches at Fleming College and Palm Beach College. He also delivered water rescue training and safety audits across Canada, and ran the Swiftwater rescue team for the 2015 Pan Am games David has also assisted at the Firefighter Career Expo in delivering the mock interview session. David also provides firefighter mock interview critiques in our video library offered to members.

Jennifer Delaney

Jennifer Delaney - Platoon Training Instructor , London Fire Department, Ontario Fire College Adjunct Instructor -1041 , 1035 Portfolios. 15+ years in the fire service with positions in suppression, , prevention, public education and health and safety in Ontario. Creative, dynamic , enjoys working with others to help them achieve their goals.
