With over 3500 firefighter mock interviews to date Shawn has proven his ability to instruct candidates in what it takes to reach their goals. Shawn also provides webinars and firefighter mock interview critiques in our video library offered to members. Shawn has also assisted at the Firefighter Career Expo in delivering the Mock Interview/ Critique session Co-author of the book Study Guide for the Firefighter Interview Provided firefighter mock interviews and critiques to both Seneca and Fleming students in the Pre-Service Firefighting Training and Education Program. Instructor in the Fleming Pre-Service Firefighter and Education Program since 2003.

Andrew started his Fire Service Career as a Volunteer with Ottawa Fire Service in 2005. Became an Acting Lieutenant in 2008 and Promoted to Rural Lieutenant in 2013. Became a Full Time Firefighter with the City of Oshawa Fire Service in 2014. Andrew was a member of the Technical Rescue and Hazmat Teams, shift trainer for Auto Extrication and Firefighter Survival. Andrew became a qualified Training Officer in 2021 and assisted with instructing multiple recruit classes. Andrew left Oshawa Fire Service in 2023 and became an Acting Captain for a Composite Fire Department along the 401. Instructing Pre Service Firefighter program since 2016 has allowed Andrew to help many students gain employment as Firefighters across Canada. Andrew enjoys getting to know those he is interviewing on a personal level and helping them develop genuine responses in their Interviews.
